Something Took Me Over Last Night
But don't get your hopes up, it's not super exciting.
Sometime around the Witching Hour, I found myself feeling a little funny, so, as any person would do in this situation, I counted everyone single one of my books, bar a few that I forgot because they’re not on the shelf, and organised them into a digital database.
I included only the genre, author, title, and original publication date. No need to get too crazy, just yet.
I thought I’d share the results because believe it or not, I’m a literature fanatic as well as a film obsessive, and I want to know what my subscribers (and anyone else who pops up on my page) read!
Also I just LOVE this sort of thing.
Anyway, here are the takeaways:
Now I know ‘fiction’ and ‘non-fiction’ is a bit vague, but I didn’t want to get all Spotify and start over-labelling. I’ve also just noticed it has non-fiction twice because of the damn case-sensitives, but let’s pretend it says 4.8%.

This one didn’t surprise me entirely. I love a King novel, so that probably skewed the numbers. Plus, Jurassic Park (1990)?
Apparently this post is getting too long now, so I need to cut it off here, but please, please, tell me what you like to read!
Also, as a fun fact, apparently I haven’t opened or at the very least finished 30% of the books I own. Appalling, but then again, I don’t own every book I’ve ever read, so that makes it better.
Anyway, as ever,
Thank you for reading,
Until next time,
H.E.

Now I have to do this
